We are delighted to share that Coundon Court Sixth Form has secured a progress score of +0.26, which is the highest progress score in the city! This also puts us in the top 12% of Sixth Forms in the country. We have been significantly above the national average for two years. This means students not only achieved higher grades than their targets, but that they made more progress than students in any other sixth form in the city – including fee-paying schools! For the second year running, our Sixth Form achieved the highest A*-B in the city.
This is an enormous achievement and we are extremely proud of our students and the staff who have supported them.
Coundon Court Sixth Form has gone through major developments over the past few years, with students benefiting from a wide range of enrichment opportunities, academic support and person development.
In particular we have placed great emphasis on academic mentoring and coaching alongside developing students’ metacognitive practices through target setting, assessment reflection and taking responsibility for revision routines. This has combined with high quality teaching and a culture of success and ambition from Sixth Form students themselves.
We look forward to sharing the results for 2025, which we are predicting will be even better! Highest value added in the City! Our Ne
