We know that applying for Sixth Form is a big step for prospective students.
They will be specialising in a small number of subjects that will be more challenging and demand significantly more independent work than they have completed before.
We ensure that all prospective students are interviewed, where they will receive advice on the courses they have selected and their requirements before we make a provisional offer. Chosen subjects can be changed at any point between the interview and results day and we encourage all prospective students to keep us up-to-date with their thoughts and we will always be on-hand to give advice.
All prospective students will be invited to our Sixth Form Transition Day in June, where they will be given the opportunity to attend taster lessons for their subjects, meet Sixth Form tutors, engage in team building activities and learn about what life and study is like at Coundon Court Sixth Form.
Year 12 students will follow a comprehensive program of transition activities during tutor time and Study Skills in the first half term. This ensures all of our students are fully prepared to tackle the challenges and take full advantage of the opportunities that Sixth Form provides.
